Obituary of Robert Petryk

Robert “Bob” Petryk, 75, of Cresco, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018 at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. He was the loving husband of Rose (Jones) Petryk, who was his constant companion since they met in high school and with whom he recently celebrated 53 years of marriage.

Born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, he was the son of Helen (Vanko) Petryk of Canton, Ohio, and the late Joseph Petryk.

Bob tended bar at the former Johnnies Pocono Summit Inn, and most recently worked in the transportation department at Sanofi Pasteur. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, who loved to cook, garden, and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved his family dearly and had a wonderful sense of humor, which never failed him, even when his health did.

In addition to his wife, and mother, he is survived by his children: Rob Petryk and his wife, Leigh, of Cresco; Lori Smith and her husband, Greg, of Cresco; Lisa Cuvo and her husband, Bob, of Cresco. Also, sister, Suzanne Lambert and her husband, Bill, of Canton, Ohio; and grandchildren: Dana, Austin, Mason, Reiley, Ally, and Brynn.

There will be a visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. with a blessing service beginning at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
