Obituary of June L Eckert

June L. Eckert, 71, of Pocono Lake, died Sept. 29, 2018, at Lehigh Valley-Pocono Hospice in East Stroudsburg. She was the loving wife of Daniel Eckert, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late John and Elsie (Bauder) Renninger.

June is survived her son, Michael Eckert of Walnutport; daughter, Danielle Szmak and husband Michael of Pocono Lake; stepmother, Dorothy Renninger of Bethlehem; brothers-in-law, Leonard Eckert of Allentown and Maynard Eckert of State College; sisters: Donna Bergey and her husband, Jim, of Bethlehem; Kim Bokan and her husband, Tom, of Bethlehem; Cathy Santos of Bethlehem; and Lisa Bell and her husband, Paul, of Newport, North Carolina; and three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. June was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Reider and a granddaughter, Heather Quinones.

There will be a viewing from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. There will be a service at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
