Obituary of Jadwiga Kornatowska

Jadwiga “Heidi” Kornatowska, 81, of Henryville, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018 at home. She was the loving wife of Boleslaw “Bolek” Kornatowski, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.

Born in Warsaw, Poland, she was a daughter of the late Zygmunt and Maria (Czajkowska) Krygiel.

Heidi was a nurse in Poland before migrating with her family to the United States in 1972.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Peter Kornatowski and his wife, DeAnna, of Spokane, Washington; daughters, Anna Cohen of Henryville and Eva Hogan and her husband, William, of Henryville; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

There will be a blessing service followed by entombment at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16 at Laurelwood Cemetery, Bryant Street, Stroudsburg.
