Obituary of Patricia A. Gross

Patricia A. Gross, 81, of Cresco, died Wednesday, October 24, at home. She was the loving wife of George Gross with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Mary Ann (Housman) Kemmerer.  

Patricia graduated from Parkland High School. She worked at Tobyhanna Army Depot for over 30 years and also worked in Real Estate with Coldwell Banker. She was a past president of Pocono Mountain Fire Company Auxiliary. Patricia was very artistic and did beautiful calligraphy.  She enjoyed traveling with the Golden Travel Social Club. She was a talented musician and played the marimba. After attending school for teaching ceramics, Patricia taught both at home and at the Tobyhanna Army Depot. She designed and crafted the “Toby Mugs.”

In addition to her husband, Patricia is survived by brothers-in-law: Ernest, Richard, Charlie and Allen Gross; sister in law: Mary Ellen Hansen. She was preceded in death by her son, David Gross.

There will be a viewing from 2 to 5 p.m. on Monday, October 29, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Rev. Samuel Kofi-Ashley will conduct a service at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial is on Tuesday, October 30 at 11 a.m. at Arlington Memorial Park, 3843 Lehigh Street, Whitehall, PA 18052.
