Obituary of Michael Papile

Michael Papile, 64, of Canadensis, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono in East Stroudsburg.

Born in Queens, New York, he was a loving son of Thelma (Kraft) Papile of Massapequa Park, New York, and the late Robert Papile.

Before Michael's retirement he was a machinist for JA Reinhardt & Co., Inc. for 30 years and after retirement, he worked for Buck Hill Falls Company. He loved golf and was an avid New York Yankees fan. Michael volunteered much of his time to many organizations including the Pocono Mountain East Little League, where he coached, then served as president for a decade. He was a selfless man who loved to help others and make people laugh.

In addition to his wife, Cindy, and mother, he is survived by his children: Michael Papile of Mount Pocono; Lindsey Levin and her husband, Scott of Sacramento, California; brothers: Bob Papile and his wife, Christine of Florida; Christopher Papile and his wife, Gale of North Massapequa, New York; sisters: Cathy Dimonda and her husband, Pat of Seaford, New York; and Donna Papile of Massapequa, New York; dear friend, Terry Megargle of Canadensis; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a viewing from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, November 4 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Reverend William J. Kuntze will conduct a service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
