Obituary of Elizabeth J. Foy

Elizabeth J. Foy, 85, of Long Pond, died Monday, December 3, 2018 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley in Wilkes-Barre. She was the loving wife of the late Philip J. Foy, who passed away in 2013.

Born in North Hills, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Elizabeth (Ford) McCandless.

Elizabeth was the bookkeeper at Asplundh Tree Company in Horsham for several years.

She is survived by her children: Betty and Ed Hilary of Glenside; stepchildren: Donald and Denise Foy; Kate and Jim O'Neill; Andy and Teri Foy; and Brian and Maria Foy; brothers: Jack McCandless of Harleysville; Richard McCandless of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Robert McCandless of Chalfont; 11 grandchildren: Phillip Foy, Christopher O'Neill, Donald Foy, Daniel O'Neill, Drew Foy, Mary Keiper, Liz Pellegrino, Scott Hilary, Matthew Foy, Corey Foy, Steven Hilary; ten great-grandchildren: Connor O'Neill, Finian O'Neill, Rebecca Keiper, Travis Keiper, Elisa Pellegrino, Quinn O'Neill, Beatrix O'Neill, Iris O'Neill, Piper Foy and Drake Foy; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in by her daughter, Debbie Griffith.

There will be a viewing from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, December 7 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. A service will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
