Obituary of Denise M. DeCanto

Donna M. DeCanto, 59, of Swiftwater, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest in Allentown.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey she was the daughter of Mary (Holland) DeCanto of East Stroudsburg and the late Joseph A. DeCanto.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, John DeCanto of Lake Harmony; daughter, Jacqueline Romano and her husband, Joseph of Lake Harmony; her companion, Julius Kollar of Swiftwater; brothers: Joseph DeCanto and his wife, Margarita of East Stroudsburg; and Patrick DeCanto of East Stroudsburg; sister, Kathleen DeCanto of Northampton; and beloved granddaughter, Giuliana Romano.

Donna was an avid gardener and crafter. She loved to fish and always had a smile on her face. She was a loving, caring and selfless person, devoted companion, mother, friend, and grandmother... always putting others before herself. "To know her was to love her".

Reverend Father Gregory Loughney will celebrate a memorial mass on Saturday, December 15 at Villa of Our Lady, 245 Meadowside Road, Mount Pocono.
