Obituary of Walter J. Karroll

Walter J. Karroll, 65, of Cresco, died Monday, December 17, 2018 at home.  He was the loving husband of Katherine (Townsend) Karroll with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.

Born in Somerville, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Walter P. and Agnes (Burlap) Karroll.

Walter was supervisor of environmental management for the Lyons Veterans Hospital in Basking Ridge, New Jersey for 36 years. He was of the Baptist faith and member of the Paradise Valley Baptist Church in Cresco.

In addition to his spouse, he is survived by his son: Walter Paul Karroll and his wife, Jessica of Branchburg, New Jersey; four grandchildren: Walter Jr., Isaiah, Harmony, and Esther Karroll of Branchburg, New Jersey; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 20 and Friday, December 21, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Paradise Valley Baptist Church, 395 Koerner Road, Cresco. A celebration of life will take place at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Seese Hill Cemetery, 1018 Upper Seese Hill Road, Canadensis.
