Obituary of Lorraine Koch

Lorraine Koch, 67 of Long Pond; died unexpectedly at Pocono Medical Center on Monday, March 12, 2012. She was the wife of James Adamo . Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Nathan Gordon and Esther(Fink) Gordon. Before her retirement Lorraine worked as a Paralegal for the New York City Law Department. She was of Jewish faith. Lorraine was a member of the Fraternal order of Police and the Emerald Lakes Women's club. She also volunteered her time with special needs children, and worked with her beloved therapy dog Caesar visiting hospitals. In addition to her husband , James, she is survived by her daughter Heidi Koch-Castro and her husband Angelo Castro of Ellenville, New York; a step daughter Laurie Devine of Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey; three grandchildren, Jessica Castro, Samantha Castro, and Brianna Castro; and also two step-grandchildren Stephanie and Devin Devine. There will be a visitation on Thursday March 15 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road in Cresco, Pennsylvania. The Rabbi Johanan Bickhardt will conduct a funeral service at 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial and graveside service will take place on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 10:00 am, at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Music that Heals P.O.
