Obituary of Mary Miller

Mary R. Miller, 89, of Tobyhanna, died Thursday, January 20 at home. She was the long time companion of L.H. Miller of Tobyhanna. Born in Sumter, South Carolina, she was the daughter of Ernest and Daisey (Wilder) Burns. Before her retirement, Mary worked as a dance instructor. She was a member of the Day Spring Church in Mt. Pocono and was well like in her community. Beloved mother and child of God, Mary is survived by four sons, Robert Mill of Hilton Head, South Carolina, Chaz Mill of Peekskill, NY, Ronald Miller of NY, NY, Chester Miller of Tobyhanna; three daughters, Victoria Miller of Tobyhanna, Debbie Allen of Bronx, NY, Julie Portes of Randolph, NJ; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Frederick Miller and two daughters, Brenda Bell and Donna Miller. There will be a viewing on Thursday, January 27 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, Rt. 940 in Cresco. Reverend Chester Lyons will conduct a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
