Obituary of Anita Fratesi-Rivera

Anita Marie Fratesi-Rivera, 51, of Blakeslee, died on Monday, May 21, 2012 at home. She was the loving wife of Larry E. Rivera to whom she had been married for 17 years. Born in Plainfield, NJ she was the daughter of the late Alfred Morris and Florence (Bogacki) Fratesi. A member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Mt. Pocono she was formerly a restaurateur who had owned and operated Anita's Other Place in Bradley Gardens, NJ. She was also an opera singer who had sang with the New Jersey Lyric Opera and also sang at the Metropolitan Opera House in NYC. She was a selfless community volunteer. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by three brothers: Alfred Morris Fratesi of Orange Park, FL, Arthur Martin Fratesi of Fleming Island, FL and Andrew Mark Fratesi of South Plainfield, NJ. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Maria Elaina Rivera and her brother: August Michael Fratesi. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, May 23 from 2-4 and 7-8:30 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road in Cresco. Reverend Robert Christe-Troutman will celebrate a funeral service on Thursday, May 24 at 10:00 am at Trinity Episcopal Church, 137 Trinity Hill Road in Mt. Pocono. Cremation is entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
