Obituary of Vivian Harris

Vivian E. Harris, 69, of Tobyhanna, died Thursday, January 27 at home. She was the wife of the late Ernest Harris. Born in Moss Point, Mississippi, she was the daughter of Mose and Earl (Walker) Boone. She attended Alcorn State University. Vivian worked as a seamstress in the garment industry for most of her life. A displaced resident of Hurricane Katrina, Vivian made her home in Blairstown, NJ before moving to Tobyhanna. She was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Stroudsburg. She is survived by a son, Christopher Boone and his wife, Tracy of Tobyhanna; two brothers, Mose W. Boone and John A. Boone, both of Moss Point, MS; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing on Thursday February 3, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 36 North Third Street in Stroudsburg. Pastor Robert Bass will conduct a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will take place on Tuesday, February 8th at the Ford Cemetery, Moss Point, MS.
