Obituary of Thomas Gibbon

Thomas J. Gibbon, 77, of Henryville died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at his home. He was the loving husband and soul mate of Tina (Readinger) Gibbon. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Helen (Faith) Gibbon. He lived for many years in Robesonia before relocating to the Poconos. A veteran of the United States Air Force he had served in Korea. Thomas worked in several occupations in the Reading area, lastly working as an orderly at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center and retiring from there. After moving to Henryville he worked for Stroud Mall and Mr Z's. He was an avid outdoorsmen who enjoyed spending much of his time golfing. He also cared for his five dogs whom he adored. In addition to his wife, Tina, he is also survived by two daughters: Barbara Feeman and her husband John of Wyomissing, Elizabeth Heimbach and her husband Brian of Reading; two sons: Richard Gibbon and his wife Tracey of Sinking Spring, Lawrence Gibbon and his wife Karen of Sinking Spring; and six grandchildren: Dylan, Cassidy, Madison, Lindsey, Jack and Catherine. The Rev. Jon Hall will conduct a funeral Service on Tuesday, June 19 at 1:00pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road in Cresco. There will be a viewing from 11:00 until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place on Wednesday, June 20 at 11:00am at Charles Evans Cemetery, 1119 Centre Avenue in Reading.
