Obituary of Ralph Muller
Ralph "Mort" H. Muller, 81, of Pocono Lake, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 3, 2012 at his home. He was the loving husband of Shirley (Emmons) Muller to whom he had been married for 58 years.
Born and raised in Huguenot, Staten Island, he was the son of the late Herman and Margaret (Winant) Muller. He lived in Halet, NJ for 39 years until he retired to the Pocono's in 1994.
Ralph worked for Dupont Photo Products in Parlin, NJ and was a proud member of their 25 year club. He also drove part time for Milu Bus Company for 25 years. He served in the US Army from 1951-1953. Spending 14 months overseas during the Korean war, Ralph was a former active member of the US Coast Guard, Flotilla 23 and the Staten Island Power Squadron.
He enjoyed time spent swimming and fishing at the family bungalow on the Delaware River. He was fondly known as "Captain Ralph" during the 25 years he and his family cruised the Hudson River. During retirement he was active in many activities within the Arrowhead Lakes Community.
In addition to his wife, Shirley, he is survived by three daughters: Deborah Borre and her husband Jessie, Lynn Guiser and her husband Tom, Wendy Sarno and her husband Jospeh; a son: Paul Muller; seven grandsons: Adam (Vicki) and Travis (Brooke) Borre, Joseph and Anthony Sarno, Zachary and Luke Guiser and Paul Mullen; three granddaughters: Jennifer Sarno, Dana Fischer (Mark) and Lauren Weber; two sisters: Dorothy Garvey and ShirleyAtlak and her husband Edward; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Bonnie Lee and his father and mother-in-law, George R. and Dora Emmons.
There will be a viewing on Monday, August 6 from 2-5pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road in Cresco. There will be a secong viewing on Tuesday, August 7 from 6-9pm at Shorepoint Funeral Home, 3269 New Jersey 35, in Hazlet, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Wednedsay, August 8 at10am at the Shorepoint Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens in Keyport, NJ
