Obituary of Margaret Bogert

Margaret E. Bogert, 86, of Paradise Township died Sunday, February 6 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. Born in Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Florence (Henry) Bogert. She graduated from the Barrett High School and attended Churchman Business School in Easton. Margaret retired after 36 years as a secretary for the State of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia . Prior to that, she was employed at Buck Hill Falls for seven years. She was a member of Keokee Chapel Church, the Willing Workers, and the New Century Guild of Philadelphia. She also volunteered for the Red Cross and Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). She is survived by a brother, George H. Bogert of Baltimore, MD; three nephews, Dean, Douglas, and Daryl Bogert; six great nieces and nephews; and two great great nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, February 11 at the Bolock Funeral Home, route 940 in Cresco. The Reverend Mertice M. Shane of the Keokee Chapel Church will conduct a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 12 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Swiftwater. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Keokee Chapel Church, P.O. Box 201, Cresco, PA 18326-0201.
