Obituary of Albert Campanelli

Albert Campanelli,75, of Tannersville, died on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at home. He was the husband of Anne (McSorley)Campanelli. Born in Elizabeth, NJ he was the son of the late Leo and Angelina (Maricondi) Campanelli. A resident of Edison NJ for over 25 years he retired to the Pocono's to be near his family. A veteran of the United States Airforce he served from 1955-1959. Albert was a hard worker who owned and operated Wright Metal Stamping in New Brunswick. After his retirement he continued working as a Production Supervisor for the Pocono Water Company. He enjoyed much of his time gambling at Mt. Airy Casino, dancing with his wife Anne, fishing, football and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Albert Campanelli and his wife Lisa of New Brunswick, NJ, Christopher Campanelli and his wife Debra of Tannersville; two daughters: Deborah Campanelli & Fiance Michael DePasquale from Beachwood, NJ, Tricia Campanelli of Fredon NJ; two brothers: Vince Campanelli, Tony Campanelli; two sisters: Rose Poth, Lucille Giriatano; four grandchildren: Chana, William, Christopher, Matthew and great grandchild: Nathalia. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister: Myn DeSaye, a brother: Joe Campanelli and a granddaughter: Elisabeth Campanelli. There will be a viewing on Monday, September 17 from 3-7pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road in Cresco. The Reverend Father Richard Czachor will celebrate a Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, September 18 at 10am at Our Lady of Victory Church, 327 Cherry Lane Rd. Tannersville. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery in Stroudsburg. In leiu of flowers donations can be made to "Lizzie's Circle" a non profit organization founded in honor of Albert's Granddaughter, Elisabeth who died of brain cancer.
