Obituary of Joseph Harriton
Joseph Harriton (February 13, 1941 - October 15, 2012)
Joseph Harriton, 71, of Tobyhanna, and formerly of Paradise Valley, died Monday, October 15, after a long illness. He was the husband of Penny (DiJiacomo) Harriton.
Born in East Stroudsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Jack and Alice (Levine) Harriton . He grew up in the hotel business and later owned and operated the Paradise Shooting Center for 23 years. Joseph was an accomplished shooter and fire arms instructor, and lived most of his life in Paradise Valley.
In addition to his wife, Penny, he is survived by two sons: David and Jordan Harriton both of Missoula, Montana; cousins: Carol Cartwright of Minisink Hills; Gerta Harriton of Minisink Hills; Irving Dorffman of Ft. Lauderdale; Wallace Shames of Mt. Pocono; in-laws: Richard and Dee Brannan of Cresco; Jeffrey and Vicki Boushell of Chantilly, Va.; David Clark of Elkland, Pa; Donald and Mandy Frick, Sycamore, Il; Barbara Lancaster of Tobyhanna, Pa.; several nieces and nephews and extended family.
There will be a visitation on Friday, October 19, from 3-4 pm, and a memorial service at 4:00 pm at Bolock Funeral Home & Crematory, 6148 Paradise Valley Rd., Cresco, Pa. 18326.
