Obituary of Gwendoline Hacker
Gwendoline T. Hacker, 88, of Stroudsburg died on Thursday, October 18 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the loving wife of the late Elder Hacker.
Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late William and Gwendoline (Stanford) Hacker.
A member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Mount Pocono, she was also part of the Altar Guild. She was a former member of the Eastern Star. Gwendoline was a huge Atlanta Braves fan who enjoyed watching baseball, reading books, but most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters: Nan Wolf and her husband Steven of Marietta, GA, Jan Anglemire and her husband Craig of Reeders; a son: William P. Hacker and his wife Denise of Fairless Hills; a son in law: Stephen Tinsley of Levittown; eight grandchildren: Keith, William Jr., Jennifer, Gail, Sarah, Amanda, Neil, Stephanie; eleven great grandchildren: Austin, Rebekah, Koty, Joseph, Alexis, Tylere, Tyler, Colin, Zachary, Olivia, Maci; and her beloved cat: Sassy. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Lynn Tinsley and her twin sister: Jeannette Carter.
There will be a viewing on Monday, October 22 from 2-4 and 7-8:30pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road in Cresco. The Reverend Father Robert Criste-Troutman will celebrate a Mass of Christian burial at 10am on Tuesday, October 23 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 137 Trinity Hill Road, Mount Pocono. Burial will follow at Reeders United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Gwendoline may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church.
