Obituary of Joseph Ponte

Joseph Ponte (June 15, 1929- Noveber3, 2012) Joseph Ponte, 83, of Canadensis, died Saturday, November 3 at Allied Skilled Nursing Center, Scranton, PA. He was the husband of the late Jean (Iacono) Ponte. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Anthony and Clara (Borroughs) Ponte. Joseph was a member of the Pocono County Place Seniors, Tobyhanna 's U.F.W, Summit Lanes Senior Bowlers and American Legion 922 in Canadensis. Joseph is survived by his son: Anthony Ponte and wife Elyce of Houston Texas; daughter: Kathryn Ponte of Canadensis; sister: Florence Montana of Brooklyn, NY; and grandchildren: Kristin, Michael, Johnathan, Caitlin, Zachary, Pamela and Jessica; great grandchildren: Derrick, McKenna, Logan, Genevieve and Ryder; Companion: Joan Teicher of Tobyhanna. There will be a viewing on Friday, November 9 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Rd. Cresco, Pa. 18326 Cremation will follow at Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
