Obituary of William Walsh

William Robert Walsh, 69, of Pocono Pines died Friday, November 2, 2012, at Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Dorothy (Bruzio)Walsh. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Reddling) Walsh. He was a US Marine veteran who served in Vietnam. Bill was a graduate of the New Jersey school of engineering. Before his retirement he worked as an electrical engineer in the nuclear power industry and worked at various power plants throughout the country. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Monroe County Division one. He was a bagpipe player, scuba diver and the pilot. He also enjoyed, skiing science fiction and traveling. In addition to his wife is survived by his son: Courtenay Walsh and his wife Brenda Phoenix Arizona and their son Cody Walsh. He was preceded in death by his sister Kathy Walsh, and his parents. The Reverend Father John Boyle will celebrate a mass of Christian burial on Wednesday, November 7, at 11 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe the church Pocono Pines, PA. There'll be a viewing at the church from 9 AM until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
