Obituary of Carson Aurand

Carson H. Aurand (March 3, 1923 - November 17, 2012) Carson H. Aurand, 89, of Canadensis, died on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at The Jewish Home in Scranton. He was the loving husband of Morna (Smith) Aurand. Born in Selinsgrove, PA, he was the son of the late Henry and Helen (Smith) Aurand. Carson graduated from Selinsgrove High School in 1942. He worked for PP&L from 1948 to 1983. He was a World War II Navy Veteran who served from 1943 - 1947. He was a member of both the VFM and American Legion. Carson was also a member of the Factoryville Masonic Lodge 341. In addition to this wife, Morna, he is survived by his daughter: Lee Ann Aurand of Effort, PA; brother: Donald Aurand of Freeburg, PA; Grandchildren: John Lyons of Port Murray, NJ and Carissa Carwell of Taylor, PA; Great-grandchildren: Jack Lyons of Port Murray, NJ and Nicholas Lyons of Port Murray, NJ. Cremation will be entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
