Obituary of Carol Del Nero
Carol A. Del Nero (August 16, 1941 - January 2, 2013)
Carol A. Del Nero of Mountainhome passed away peacefully after a brief illness on January 2, 2013.
Born in August 16, 1941 of Hugenot Park, Staten Island, she was the daughter of William A. and Cecelia E. (Sleight) Houseman.
Carol was retired from Chartwells Food Service and Food Service Director of Pocono Mountain School District. She was also known as the friendly face of the Pocono Playhouse as Box Office Manager for many years. Carol owned Delwood Lodge in Mountainhome during the 1970's and 1980's. She was lovingly known as "Ms. D" by those who frequented Delwood Lodge. Most recently, Carol had worked at Callie's Candy Kitchen.
Carol has a zest for life and enjoyed many interest and hobbies, including her love of Walt Disney World, where she frequently traveled. She also followed and loved the New York Yankees.
Carol is survived by son, Ted Carves, and his wife Marcie of Billerica, MA, son Frank Del Nero, Jr., and his wife Lori of Mountainhome, granddaughters Maegan Carves of Woolwich, ME, Jennifer Carves of Woolwich, ME, and Jessica Carves of Bath, ME, three stepchildren Robert Del Nero, Carolyn McKeown, and Jimmy De Nero, as well as niece and nephews. Also surviving is Carol's loyal dog companion, Sammy, who brought her much happiness and love.
There will be a viewing on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 9:00 - 11:30 AM at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco, Pa. 18326.

Cremation is entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
