Anthony C. Viesti (April 6, 1933 - January 6, 2013)
Anthony C. Viesti, 79, of White Haven, PA., died January 6, 2013 at home. He was the loving husband of Ann (Hando) Viesti.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Suzanne (Cresenzo) Viesti. He was a master plumber by trade. Tony and his late wife Trudy moved into the Pocono's in 1976, and owned an antiques business known as the Enchanted Cottage in Blakeslee, PA, until she passed away in 2003.
In addition to his wife, Ann, he is survived by his son: Stephen Viesti and wife Patricia of Upper Darby, PA.; daughter: Susan Viesti of Drexel Hill, PA.; step-son: David Gettz and wife Caroline of Apple Valley, MN; step-daughters: Deb Gettz McGee and husband Carl of Lake Hamilton, FL, Bonnie Dakis and Danielle Dakis both of Lansdale, PA, Stephanie Dakis of Albrightsville, PA, Christine Howell of Brick, NJ, Airmen Sarah Dakis of Utah, Cassandra Dakis of White Haven, PA; Grandson: Patrick Viesti of Upper Darby, PA; Step-grandchildren: Nicole Gettz, Matthew Gettz and Michelle Gettz all of Apple Valley, MN, Kayleigh Ann Howell of Brick, NJ; Nephew: John Leiger; Father-in-law: Victory Hando and wife Joan of Belford, NJ; sister: Eleanor Leiger of Blakeslee, Pa.
There will be a viewing on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM, and the Panachida Service will be at 9:15 AM at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco, Pa, 18326. Father Michael Salnicky will celebrate the Divine Liturgy at 10:30 AM at St. Nicholas Byzantine Church, Route 940, Pocono Summit. Burial will be private.
