Obituary of MaryJane Kresge

MaryJane Kresge, 74, of Mount Pocono, passed into eternal life on February 15, 2013. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Merton Kresge. Born in Mount Pocono, she was the daughter of the late Monta and Dorothy (Seager) Strong; a lifelong resident of Mount Pocono and a member of Mount Pocono United Methodist Church. MaryJane enjoyed raising her family, cooking, baking, sewing, ceramic painting, and playing bingo. In her younger days, MaryJane and Merton could be found on many a dance floor with dear friends. She worked as a Deli Manager at the A&P supermarket for 19 years and later worked as an Electronics Technician at the Tobyhanna Army Depot for 20 years. She greatly enjoyed the comradery of her coworkers throughout her career. In recent years, MaryJane and Merton enjoyed their retirement by traveling throughout the country and spending the winter seasons in Arizona. In addition to her husband Merton, she is survived by a daughter: Cynthia Brombacher and her husband Arthur of Pocono Summit; Sons: Dean Kresge and his wife Michelle of East Greenville, Pa and Kevin Kresge and his wife Colleen of Port Crane NY; brothers: Elmer Strong and wife Loretta of Cunyngham Valley, and Monta Strong Jr.; Sister: Shirley Lutz of Canadensis; Grandchildren: Laurren Kresge, Joshua Kresge and his wife Lindsay, Ashley Kresge, Justin Kresge, Arthur Brombacher, Megan Kresge and Heidi Brombacher and many nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, February 20 from 10:30 am till 12:00 at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Rd, Cresco. The Reverend Samuel Kofi - Ashley will conduct a funeral service at noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Laurelwood cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in honor of MaryJane to the Geisinger House of Care, 100 North Academy Avenue, Danville, PA 17822-2800 or to the charity of your choice.
