Obituary of Ida Fiore

Ida Jean Fiore, 85, of Pocono Summit, died peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2013 at home with her family at her side. She was the loving wife of the late Bartholomew Fiore. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Lucille (Scalia) Arezzo. Ida was an avid reader and donated thousands of books to the local library. She belonged to several bible study groups and knitted children's hats for the Cancer Society. Ida cherished the time she spent baking and cooking large meals for her large family of nine children. She is survived by two sons: Bartholomew Fiore of Pocono Summit, Andrew Fiore of Brooklyn, NY; four daughters: Paulette LaRuffa of Hackettstown, NJ, Deborah Rodriguez of Stony Brook, NY, Dina Belavieki of Hanover, Jodi Cardoni of Blakeslee; twenty grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Bartholomew Fiore, she was preceded in death by two sons: Joseph Fiore and Anthony Gesualdi; a daughter Christine Gara; a grandson Joseph Rodriguez and her mother-in-law Pauline Fiore. There will be a viewing on Thursday, March 21 from 10:00am to 1:30pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will celebrate a Mass of Christian burial on Thursday, March 21 at 2:00pm at St. Mary of the Mount Church, 27 Fairview Ave, Mount Pocono. Cremation Service is entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
