Obituary of Ellen Upright

Ellen M. Upright, 88, of Cresco, died peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the VNA/Hospice House of Monroe County in East Stroudsburg. She was the loving wife of the late Lyle L. Upright. Born in Analomink, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Miller) Van Why. Ellen was of the Methodist Faith. Before her retirement, she worked as a hostess and server at various local hotel resorts. She is survived by a sister, Elsie Gary and two sons: Kirby G. Upright and his wife Joyce of Cresco, Lyle A. Upright and his wife Ellen of Hadley, Mass; a daughter: Gayle L. Martin of Canadensis; four grandsons: Clinton Martin, Chad Upright, Scott Upright, & Isaac Upright; and a great granddaughter, Mia Upright. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Terrence Martin, and a sister, Nina Place. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
