Obituary of Scott Smith

Scott S. Smith, Sr., 57, of Long Pond, died peacefully on May 11, 2013 at the VNA Hospice House in East Stroudsburg. Born in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Alyce (Dyson) Smith. Scott enjoyed spending his time outdoors hunting in the fall and fishing in the spring. He was a member and strong believer of the NRA and attended many gun shows and auctions. He is survived by a daughter: Elyssa Teter and her husband Brian of Auburn; a son: Scott Smith, Jr. and his companion Sharon of Long Pond; a brother: Lloyd Smith, Jr. and his wife Martha of Long Pond; his beloved granddaughter: Olivia Teter of Auburn; his former wife and friend: Suzanne Smith of Mount Pocono; his dog: Siegfried and many nephews and cousins. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, May 14 from 3-6pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Services will follow the viewing at 6pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Scott may be made to AWSOM Animal Shelter, PO Box, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Cremation is entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
