Obituary of William Padian

William F. Padian, 80, of Cresco, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the loving husband of Kathryn (Sullivan) Padian, to whom he was married for 20 years. Born in Roscommon County, Ireland. William was the son of the late James and Mary (Brennan) Padian. William was a veteran of the United States Army and served from 1956-1958. Before his retirement, he worked for the New York Transit as a bus driver. He was a member of Most Holy Trinity Parish and Pocono Mountain Seniors. He is survived by sons: Joseph Scarpone and his wife, Mary Ellen of Palm Coast, Fla.; Daniel Scarpone and his wife, Philomena of Kunkletown; John Scarpone and his wife, Connie of Blakeslee; Michael Scarpone of Mine Hill, N.J.; Paul Scarpone of Hunlock Creek; his daughters: Kathleen Rolland of Westland, Mich.; Susan Pirrocco and her husband, Tony of Scotrun; Linda Wassmer and her husband, Bill of Collierville, Tenn.; Terry Martino and her husband, Frank of Budd Lake, N.J.; Margaret Mehall of Cherry Hill, N.J.; two nephews: Brian Guest and John Padian; one sister, Eileen Guest of Ireland; 36 grandchildren; 28 great- grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by a son, James Scarpone; still surviving is James' wife, Gloria of Mine Hill, N.J. There will be a viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, June 14, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Reverend Father Gregory Loughney will celebrate a Mass of Christian burial on at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church of St. Ann, Main Street, Tobyhanna. Interment will follow at St. Catherines Cemetery in Moscow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Most Holy Trinity Parish, 27 Fairview Ave, Mount Pocono, PA 18344
