Obituary of Martha Tietjen

Martha L. Tietjen, 72, of Clarks Summit, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013. She was the loving wife of John Tietjen. Martha was born in Yonkers, N.Y. and was the daughter of late William and Marion (Saunders) Lawson. Martha had many interests but her favorite things were knitting, reading, attending plays in NYC, dancing, spending time with family and enjoyed watching reality TV shows. She is survived by sons: John Tietjen and his companion, Lori Riede Dunlop, of Paradise Valley; Christopher Tietjen and his wife, Sharon, of Lisbon, CT.; daughter: Jennifer Burrier and her husband, Richard of Newfoundland; grandchildren: Erin Donahue, Michael Tietjen, Sarah Burrier, Maxwell Burrier, Aaron Tietjen and Courtney Dugas; great-grandchild: Brayden Donahue. There will be a viewing Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Father Robert Criste-Troutman will conduct a funeral service beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The family would like to send special thanks to everyone who works on the 8th floor nursing staff and 3rd floor Hospice at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Private cremation will follow at Bolock Funeral Home.
