Obituary of Josephine Palmisano

Josephine Palmisano, 91, of Long Pond, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2013 at Hillcrest Retirement Community. She was the wife of the late Cosmo D. Palmisano. Born in Fairview, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Paul Romano and Rosalia (Valentino) Romano. Josephine owned a grocery store and was also a member of Our Lady of Grace Church. She is survived by a son: John Palmisano of Long Pond; a brother: Salvatore Romano of Manhattan, N.Y.; two grandchildren: Robert Palmisano and his wife, Laura of North Haledon, N.J.; Dina Fiorita and her husband Michael of North Haledon, N.J.; great-granddaughter: Lia Mae Fiorita; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Beverly Palmisano; a brother: Vincent Romano; and a sister: Irene Mongelli There will be a viewing on Thursday, July 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco, P.A., The Reverend Father Peter Sticco will celebrate a Mass of Christian burial on Friday, July 5, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace, 395 Delano Place, Fairview, N.J. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 500 Fairview Ave, Fairview, N.J. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arcadia Hospice, 7248 W Tilghman St Allentown, PA 18106.
