Obituary of Edwin Silva

Edwin "Chinito" Silva, 34, of Tobyhanna, passed away on Sunday, March 6 at the VNA Hospice House of Monroe County in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Michelle (Avosso) Silva. Edwin was employed as an operations supervisor for Federal Express in Pocono Summit. A 1995 graduate of Pocono Mountain High School, he wrestled and was starting quarterback in football. Edwin (#56), also known as Tiny, was manager and star pitcher for the 2007 softball league champions "Outkast". He was also captain and pitcher for the 2010 softball league champion "Panthers". In addition to his wife, Michelle, he is survived by a son, Nicholas Silva and a daughter, Gianna Silva both of Tobyhanna; his mother, Melba (Feyjoo) Santiago of Stroudsburg; grandmother, Rosa Feyjoo of East Stroudsburg; and mother and father-in-law, Marianne and Edward Avosso of Tobyhanna. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. We will always love you. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, March 9 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, Route 940 in Cresco. The Reverend Father John Boyle will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 10 at St. Ann's Church in Tobyhanna. Cremation will follow at the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
