Obituary of Frank Himschoot
Frank Himschoot 64, of East Stroudsburg, passed away at his home on Monday, September 16, 2013. He was the husband of Ute Maria (Kurth) Himschoot to whom he was married for 24 years.
Born in Paterson, N.J. he was the son of the late Francis and Helen (Garrettson) Himschoot.
Frank moved to Hackettstown and attended Hackettstown High School where he was a member of the varsity golf team graduating in 1967. He then attended The Career Academy in Washington D.C. He worked in Hackettstown from 1978 to 1982. He moved to East Stroudsburg and began his career working for JA Reinhardt up until his illness. Frank was a lifelong motor cycle enthusiast, he enjoyed rebuilding and riding. He was an avid hunter and sportsman. He was a safety officer and competitive shooter with the International Defense Pistol Association at a state and national level. Frank was also the Vice President of the Blue Ridge/ Cherry Valley Gun Club and an active member of Dark Hollow Hunting Club. He had a wonderful sense of humor which was enjoyed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by dear friends and family Gregor, Marion and Philina Boeck of Hamburg, Germany and Shane Smith and Kayla Hufsmith of East Stroudsburg. He was preceded in death by a sister Linda Daddio.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, September 19, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. A Catholic blessing service will take place at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
