Obituary of Irene Laquintano

Irene E. Laquintano, 88, of Cresco, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the loving wife of the Rev. David Laquintano. Born in Cresco, she was the daughter of the late William J. Coffman and Zaidee (Williams) Coffman. As a lifelong resident of Cresco, Irene attended Paradise Elementary and Barrett High School. She then obtained her ministry degree at The Eastern Bible Institute. She enjoyed her work as a pastor's wife, as well as quilting, baking and gardening. In addition to her husband, David, she is survived by her two sons, David L. Laquintano and his wife, Christine, and Paul H. Laquintano and his wife, Lee; a brother, Lloyd Coffman; four grandsons; and three great-grandsons. There will be a viewing from 9:45 a.m. until the time of service Saturday, Oct. 5, at Bolock Funeral Home & Crematory, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. There will be a funeral service at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Keokee Cemetery in Paradise Valley.
