Obituary of Dominick Perfetti

Dominick M. Perfetti, Sr. died on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, PA. He was the loving husband of Julia (Copensky) to whom he had been married for 62 years. Born in Port Morris, N.J., he was the son of the late Leonard and Nena (Bizzari) Perfetti. Dominick was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Tannersville. Before his retirement he spent most of his working career as a supervisor at Picatinny Arsenal. He served as a volunteer firefighter in the town of Roxbury for many years. He and his wife Julia were advocates for the Sojourn Stuffed Bear project that made over 5,000 bears for cancer patients. In addition to his wife, Julia, he is survived by a son: Dominick Perfetti Jr. and his wife Patti of Albany, N.Y.; a daughter: Michele Faschan and her husband, Richard of Lake Wallenpaupak, PA; and three grandchildren: Michael, Katie and Matthew Faschan. He was preceded in death by a son: Leonard Perfetti. The Reverend Father McLaughlin will celebrate a Mass of Christian burial on Friday, October 11, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 327 Cherry Lane Rd. Tannersville, PA. Interment will take place on Saturday, October 12, at 10:00 a.m. at Stanhope Union Cemetery, Waterloo Rd, Stanhope, NJ.
