Obituary of Donald Dougert

Donald E. Dougert Sr., 69, of Tobyhanna, died Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Juanita (Farley) Dougert. Born in Newark, N.J. he was the son of the late Charles and Marion (Oliver) Dougert. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Donald was a gifted handyman who enjoyed scrapping metal and tinkering around looking for his next project. Donald was an avid pool player and loved to play his guitar. In addition to his wife Juanita, he is survived by his sons: Donald E. Dougert Jr. and his wife Miroslawa of Secaucus, N.J., David P. Dougert of Garwood, N.J., Daniel R. of Spotswood, N.J., and Daren E. Dougert of Etters, PA; his brothers: Charles and Franklin Dougert; his sister: Marianne Freeman; five grandchildren: Jacqueline, Brett, Allison, Kyle and Eric. The Pastor Gregg Schafer will celebrate a memorial service on Saturday, November 2, at 11:00 at the Moravian Church in Canadensis, Route 447. Friends and family can gather at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
