Obituary of Burton Maguire

Burton J. Maguire, 81, formally of Garfield, N.J. died on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the loving husband of the late Louise Eacovalle Maguire. Born in Brooklyn NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Florence (Brown) Maguire. Burton was a veteran of the United States Army. Before his retirement he worked for a metal construction company. He enjoyed model trains, building plastic models of all kinds and spending time in his garden. Other passions were classic movies and History and Military films. He is survived by his sons: Brett Maguire and his wife Benucha of Garfield, N.J., Scott Maguire and his wife Arlene of Blakeslee and Christopher Maguire and his wife Jennifer of Pocono Lake; a daughter: Deborah Gordon-Swallow and her husband James of Blakeslee; four brothers: ; two sisters: ; grandchildren: Tracy, Sandra, Lisa, Melissa, Julee, Stefanie, Colleen, Emily, Kaytie, Abbey and Rachel; great-grandchildren: Kylee, Bryson, Jaycee, Landen, Logan and Camdyn. A viewing will take place on Sunday November 17th starting at 12 noon until 3 p.m at this time the Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will conclude with a short service at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco.
