Obituary of Steven Dienno

Steven N. Dienno, 17, of Tobyhanna, died on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of Scott Dienno of Kresgeville and Erin (Driscoll) and Greg Harris of Tobyhanna. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Mary of the Mount Church in Mount Pocono. Steven attended Monsignor McHugh School for eight years, before becoming a star quarterback for the Pocono Mountain East football team. He was an avid sports fan who also played basketball, soccer and baseball. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sisters: Emily Harris of Effort, Taylor Harris of Effort, Sabrina Bella Dienno of Kresgeville; maternal grandparents: Larry and Margaret Driscoll of Pocono Summit; Valerie Sari of East Stroudsburg; paternal grandparents: Robert and Margaret Varenkamp of Marshalls Creek; great grandmother: Mary Zondlo of Bethlehem; and aunt: Cynthia Driscoll of Pocono Summit. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, November 13 from 5-8pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Reverend Father Gregory Loughney will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, November 14 at 10am at St. Mary of the Mount Church, 27 Fairview Ave., Mount Pocono.
