Obituary of Stewart Burns

Stewart Elliot Burns, 45, of Mt. Pocono, died Monday morning, March 21 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Tamika (Wade) Burns. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Clifford Leroy and Jean (McGuire) Burns. Stewart was the night manager of the Martz Terminal in the Delaware Water Gap and was a member of Shawnee Tabernacle Church. In addition to his wife, Tamika, Stewart is survived by his son: Union Elliot Burns of Mt. Pocono; his daughter: Jasmine Burns of Jersey City, NJ and his sister: Tina Alexis Burns. He was preceded in death by his two brothers. Reverend Dennis Bloom will conduct a funeral service on Thursday, March 24 at 7:00 pm at Shawnee Tabernacle Church, 16 Carriage Square, Tobyhanna. There will be a viewing from 5:00 pm until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be held Friday, March 25 at 10:00 am at the Prospect Cemetery.
