Obituary of Norman Schenck
Norman Schenck, 89, of Tobyhanna, died Monday, November 25, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Kellington) Schenck with whom he shared 68 years of marriage.
Born June 28, 1924 in New Brunswick, N.J., he was the son of the late Clifford and Helen (Steinagle) Schenck.
Norman served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII and was a life member of the American Legion. During his working career he was a mechanic for Eastern Airlines and then for Tampa Bay Ship Yard until his retirement. He moved to the Poconos after retiring in 1996.
In addition to his wife, Eleanor, he is survived by his sons: Scott Schenck and his wife Judy of Bon Aqua, Tennessee and Norman Schenck and his wife Denice Schenck of South Bound Brook, N.J.; his four sisters; grandchildren: Shiela, Shelly, Michael and Victoria; great-grandchildren: Devonte, Sami, Wraith, Litany, Sierra, Noah and Helena.
There will be a visitation on Friday, December 6, from 10:00 until the time of the service at Trinity Episcopal Church, 137 Trinity Hill Road, Mount Pocono. The Reverend Father Robert Criste-Troutman will celebrate a memorial service at 11:00 at the church.
