Obituary of Anthony Cavalieri

Anthony Cavalieri, 82, of Cresco, died on Monday December 2, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was the husband of Maria (Gizzi) Cavalieri whom he shared 21 years of marriage. Born in Yonkers, NY he was the son of the late Nicholas and Celia (Divanzo) Cavalieri. Anthony spent most of his career working in Rockland County as a Laborer Mechanic for the Highway Department. He loved spending time outdoors especially fishing and crabbing. He also enjoyed working with his hands on various projects. In addition to his wife Maria, he is survived by a son: Nicholas Cavalieri and his wife Susan of Cresco; daughters: Toni-Ann Nytko of Haverstraw, N.Y., Diane Fuller of Garnerville, N.Y. and Patricia Baldwin of Virginia; two surviving brothers: Ted and Sonny; grandchildren: Fred, Joseph, Anthony, Edward, Nicole, Courtnee, Jason, John and Kaleb; two great-grandchildren: Piper and Evangeline; his step sons: Angelo Lacomini and his wife Jennifer of New Hampsire and Joseph Lacomini and his wife Jennifer of Pleasant Valley, N.Y.; step grandchildren: Kerry, Kaitlin, Michael and Mckenzie. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, December 4 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 5 at 10 a.m. at St. Bernadette's, Route 390, Canadensis. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 237 East Brown Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301 Cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home.
