Obituary of Leonard Goldsmith

Leonard C. Goldsmith, 74, of Tobyhanna, died on Thursday, January 2, 2013 at his home. He was the loving husband of 47 years of Carol (Sherman) Goldsmith. Born in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Rubin and Dorie (Schwartz) Goldsmith. Having served with United States Army Reserves at a young age, he later went to work with the United States Government as a Postal Worker, where he eventually retired in 1998. Leonard had a passion for photography and enjoyed capturing special moments. He also enjoyed bowling and spent many years as part of a league. In addition to his wife, Carol, he is survived by two daughters: Heidi Moore and her husband Steven of Mechanicsville, MD, Randi Florio and her husband Vincent of Denton, TX; a sister: Sally Magid of Schenectady, NY and two granddaughters: Sara and Lia Moore. Rabbi Jonathan Kremer will conduct a service on Tuesday, January 7 at 3pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The family will receive friends and relatives from 1pm until the time of service. Interment will take place on Wednesday, January 8 at 2pm at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 22020 Chancellors Run Rd, Great Mills, MD.
