Obituary of Donald Mulvey Jr.
Donald M. Mulvey, Jr., affectionately known to all as Donnie the beloved husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend left this world on January 23, 2014 in the loving embrace of his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Bolock Funeral Home, Cresco, Pa. 570-839-3535 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke's Church, Stroudsburg, PA.
Don was born in Huntington, New York to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mulvey, Sr., of Mastic Beach, N.Y. with his twin Maureen in April of 1966. He met the love of his life in 1983, Loriann Dobbins-Mulvey and was married on May 20th, 1989. Together they raised their children, daughter Michaela Rae and son Devin Mark.
An accomplished, Executive Vice President/ World Wide Director of Sales and Marketing for ROAL Electronics USA, Inc. a subsidiary of ROAL Electronics, Italy and a 1988 graduate of the Stony Brook University, Electrical Engineering program. After starting a family in Long Island, he moved to New Jersey to work with TDI and began his journey around the globe. He lived with his family in Ireland for 2 years and returned to the USA settling in Stroudsburg, PA. Don stood firm in his catholic roots and went to meet his savior in his undying faith. Had a passion for all that is musical, skiing, boating, and fishing. He was a world traveler that enjoyed sharing his experiences with friends and family. Getting an invite to travel with him was insurance of a great time on a new journey somewhere. He shared his gift of rebuilding classic cars with his son and philanthropy with his daughter by spending his time working with different charitable organizations. Don was a jack of all trades; there was nothing he couldn't do.
Love and endured by wife, Loriann, daughter Michaela, son Devin, mother Florence, son-in-law of Raymond Dobbins, Sisters: Kathleen, Maryanne and companion Austin, Patricia and husband Angelo and Maureen. Sister-in-law Courtney and husband Phil and brother-in-law Vincent, preceded in death by his father, Donald Mulvey Sr.
There will be a viewing on Wednesday, January 29 from 7-8:30 p.m. and on Thursday, January 30 from 2-4 & 7-8:30 p.m. The Reverend Father Perry will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 31 at 10 a.m. at the St. Luke Church in Stroudsburg.
In lieu of flowers a memorial scholarship in Electrical Engineering has been established in Donald Mulvey's name at Stony Brook University, his al mater.
