Obituary of Christopher Stiff

Christopher Stiff, 33, of Newfoundland, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was the husband of Linda (Sprovach) Stiff. He was the owner and operator of Chris Stiff Trucking Company. Chris was a hard worker and strived to build a great future for his family. He was a loving husband and dedicated father who idolized his family. In his free time he enjoyed playing softball, flag football and golf. While in high school, he held the single-season passing record for the Pocono Mountain Cardinals football team. In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by a daughter, Kayla; his mother, Kathy Calcaterra and her husband, Tom, of Cresco; his father, Michael Stiff and his wife, Donna, of Cresco; brothers Michael Stiff and his wife, Sarah, of Henryville, Jim Calcaterra and his wife, Cathryn, of Rockville, Md., Bryan Calcaterra of Vail, Colo., and Matthew Stiff of Cresco; his sisters, Stephanie Calcaterra and Amy Moreno, both of Cresco. There will be a viewing from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to set up an education fund for his daughter, Kayla. Cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
