Obituary of Richard Heath

Richard Allen Heath, 63, of California, died on Friday, January 24, 2014 . He was the husband of Jaree (Strong) Heath. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Anna (Bradley) Heath and the late Richard Heath, Sr. A proud veteran, Richard served with the United States Army. Growing up, he traveled the globe with his family, while his father was serving with the United States Navy. Eventually, his family established roots in California, where Richard gained a love of the sunshine and the ocean. After creating a family with wife Jaree, they moved to the Pocono Mountains. Five years ago, he made his way back to California, where he ended his days in a place that he loved. Richard had a love for cooking "BBQ" that he shared with so many. He was an avid football and Nascar fan and more than anything loved spending time with and spoiling his four grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by his four children: Jason, Jody, Jessica and Katherine Heath; and grandchildren: Madison and Andrew Miesch and Emily and Molly Febbraro. Pastor George Alt will conduct a memorial service on Sunday, February 9 at 1pm at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. There will be a visitation from 12pm until the time of service.
