Obituary of Donald Shoup

Donald M. Shoup, 88, of Cresco, better known as "Shoupy" by his friends and neighbors, died on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at his home. He was the longtime, loving companion of Barbara Miller. Born in Ringtown, he was the son of the late Morris and Florence (Heffner) Shoup. Donald was of the Lutheran faith and a member of Keokee Chapel and St. John's Church in Ringtown. He is survived by his son, Orval Shoup and his wife, Linda, of Ringtown; his daughter, Grace Kamarousky and her husband, Leonard, of Ringtown; four grandchildren: Heather Pitsko, Amanda Pascavage, and Gabriel and Hilary Kamarousky; and four great-grandchildren: Gavin, Melina, Gabriel and Matthew. There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Keokee Chapel, Keokee Chapel Road, Cresco. Burial of his ashes will be at Ringtown Cemetery at a later date.
