Obituary of Elizabeth Scardigno

Elizabeth "Betty" Scardigno, 75, of Long Pond, died Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the loving wife of Angelo Scardigno for 57 years. Born in Jersey City, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Francis and Catherine (Snyder) Kyle. Elizabeth raised her family in the North Arlington, N.J. area and moved to the Poconos in 2001. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed. Elizabeth loved being around and on the water and enjoyed making trips to the shore. In addition to her husband Angelo, she is survived by her son: Michael Scardigno and his wife Linda of Long Pond; daughters: Madeline Troost of Mount Pocono, Mary Nordlander and her husband Keith of Butler, NJ, and AnnMarie Ketz of Tobyhanna; brother: Joseph Kyle and his wife Dorothy of Las Vegas, NV; her grandchildren: George, Christopher, Ryan, Michael, Matthew, Jennifer, Alicia, Jessica, Claire, Kaitlin and Gloria; a great-grandson: Darren Christopher Dolga and several nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, February 21 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco, The Reverend Father Gregory Loughney will conduct a blessing service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
