Obituary of Robert Coffman

Robert L. "Lloyd" Coffman, 90, of Cresco, died on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest in Allentown. He was the loving husband of Jean (Van Dyke) Coffman with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Born in Cresco, he was the son of the late William and Zaidee (Williams) Coffman. Lloyd was employed by Strickland's Mountain Inn and Cottages and was key to the growth and maintenance of the resort for many years. He attended Paradise Valley Baptist Church and was an instrumental founding member of several other Pocono area churches. In addition to his wife Jean, he is survived by his son: Warren T. Coffman and his wife Alissen of Sarasota, Fla; a daughter: Beverly J. Dyson and her husband James of Cresco; grandchildren: Peter Dyson, Brittany O'Connor and Heather Coffman; great-grandsons: Christopher and Riley O'Connor and Nolan Dyson. He was preceded in death by his brothers Clayton, Ralph, Francis, Gerald, Walter and sisters Grace Kresge and Irene Laquintano. There will be a viewing from 12:00 p.m. until time of service on Saturday, March 1 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Pastor Eric Gustafson will conduct a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Keokee Cemetery.
