Obituary of Patricia Imhof
Patricia Ann Imhof, 63, of Cresco, died on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in East Stroudsburg with her son and daughter at her side.
Born on June 17, 1947 in East Stroudsburg, PA she was the daughter of Margaret (Cramer) Hardy and the late Kenneth Hardy. A life-long resident of Barrett Township, she graduated from Pocono Mountain High School in 1965 and attended Hartford Airline School after high school.
Patricia enjoyed spending time baking for her family and friends and making her grandchildren's birthday cakes. She enjoyed her cake decorating classes and working at the Daily Bread Bakery in Mountainhome. She also enjoyed farming and co-owned and operated her own business, Trav/Jo Farm Market in Mountainhome with her former husband Ernest "Bud" Imhof. Patricia maintained the bowling greens and brought them up to the national level at Buck Hill Golf Course for which she received a certificate of achievement. She was featured in lawn bowling magazine as Best Bowling Greens on the East Coast.
She loved to garden and give advice on gardening to her children and friends. Her favorite flowers were pansies and lilacs. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and best friend Terry Megargle with whom she had great times together.
Patricia worked at Sanofi Pasteur through ABM Industries Inc. She often referred to the Sanofi employees as her "family" and how fond she was of them. She was the recipient of the Tiffany Award through Manpower. To qualify, workers must receive excellent performance evaluations from Manpower's customers and must have worked at least 400 hours.
In addition to her mother, Margaret, she is also survived by a son, Travis Imhof of Cresco, PA; a daughter Jolene Bleam and her husband Ray of Nazareth, two brothers; James Hardy and his wife Janet of St. Cloud, FL, Joseph Hardy of Mountainhome, two sisters; Jean Wescott and her husband Al of Cresco , Donna Dunlap of Cresco, four grandchildren; Emily, Travis, Tyler and Julianna, Ernest "Bud" Imhof, father of Travis and Jolene; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Reverend Father Alfred Vito will conduct a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9 at the Bolock Funeral Home, Rt. 940 in Cresco. There will be a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Private Cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
