Obituary of Michael Nauman

Michael Franklin Nauman, 76, of Tobyhanna, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 in Fairhope AL. He was the loving husband of Lois (Yacabitis) Nauman to whom he shared 53 years of marriage. Born in Paradise Township, he was a son of Joel and Laura (Bond) Nauman. Michael was a 30 year member and former president of Coolbaugh Township Volunteer Fire Company. He retired after 32 years from Cooper Industries formally McGraw Edison in East Stroudsburg. He and Lois have enjoyed the last twelve years of a full time RV life style. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing and vacationing with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Lois, he is survived by two sons: Gerald M. and his companion Michelle Diehl of Whitehall and Mark A. and his fiance Jennifer Lyons of Scotrun; two daughters: Linda T. Ace and her husband Robert of Scotrun and Karen R. Labar and her husband Kevin of Bangor; 6 grandchildren and one great-grandson; his four sisters: Irene Getz of Mount Pocono, Elsie Fish of Pocono Summit, Violet Safin of Blakeslee, and Lois Nauman of East Stroudsburg. He was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Malec, and brothers Robert, Gerald, Joel, and Christian. There will be a viewing from 2 to 4:30 on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. A funeral service will begin at 4:30 pm at the funeral home. Cremation and burial will follow at the convenience of the family.
