Obituary of Charles Baker
Charles "Steve" Baker, Sr., 62, of Tobyhanna, died on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at his home. He was the loving husband of Sharon (Duva) Baker to whom he had been married for 28 years.
Born in Maplewood, NJ he was the son of Doris Ann (Moyle) Baker and the late Frederick H. Baker.
A proud veteran, he served with the United States Army from 1969-1971. In 2007, Steve retired from Local 592 in Bergen County, NJ where he worked as a Union Construction worker for 21 years. Upon retiring, he began working as a bus driver for the Pocono Mountain School District. Steve loved his job and when he wasn't working he enjoyed riding his 93' Heritage Softail Classic Harley.
In addition to his wife, Sharon, he is survived by his three sons: Nathan James Baker and his wife Cindy of Magnolia, NJ, Charles S. Baker, II and his wife Patricia of Mountainhome, Michael Baker of Tobyhanna; a sister: Katherine Fisher and her husband, Thomas; four grandchildren: Riley, Jeffrey, Justin, Samara; his beloved dog Brunna and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday, April 1 from 10-2pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Pastor Jon Hall will conduct a service at 2pm at the funeral home.
